He traveled and painted widely in Algeria, Spain, Morocco, Cuba, Canada and Labrador as well as Tunisia. He was a member of the Societe Coloniale des Artistes Francais, the Societe Internationale de Aquarellistes of Paris, the American Watercolor Society of New York.
