His brothers Charles Germain de Saint Aubin and Augustin de Saint-Aubin were also artists. He was a student of Étienne Jeaurat and Hyacinthe Collin de Vermont. His brothers Charles Germain de Saint Aubin and Augustin de Saint-Aubin were also artists. He was a student of Étienne Jeaurat and Hyacinthe Collin de Vermont.
