He was the son of farmer and innkeeper Martin Huber and his wife, Theresa, nee Parl. When he was three years old his father died unexpectedly of a heart attack. He was the son of farmer and innkeeper Martin Huber and his wife, Theresa, nee Parl. When he was three years old his father died unexpectedly of a heart attack. His mother had to sell the property and moved with her three children to Fuerstenfeldbruck. Hans soon showed great love for nature. The boy was interested in beetles, butterflies and flowers, which he also drew.
