Through the intercession of Max Liebermann and Ulrich Hübners, Meyboden received for three years a master atelier at the Prussian Academy of Arts. Through the intercession of Max Liebermann and Ulrich Hübners, Meyboden received for three years a master atelier at the Prussian Academy of Arts. During this time he was very productive and created numerous works. Afterwards he moved to the artist village Fischerhude. There he meets the artist family Rohmeyer and his future wife Gretlies Rohmeyer. From 1937 his works were considered degenerate art. During the war he lost his studio and most of his work in Berlin.
