Known for his powerful, spare abstractions of large monochromatic geometric forms inspired by Mondrian and Malevich, Harvey Quaytman studied at the Boston Museum School and Tufts University. He was born in Far Rockaway, New York. His first solo exhibition was in London in 1962, and from that time he had over 60 one-person exhibitions.
