Between 1919 and 1919 he continued his studies as a woodcarver at the well-known wood carving school Bad Warmbrunn near Cirillo Dell'Antonio. After 1926, he was a student with Joseph Wackerle until 1931 at the Academy of Fine Arts Munich.
