Hernan Pico Ribera was a Spanish painter who graduated from the Superior School of Fine Arts and the School of Arts and Crafts and Fine Arts of Barcelona. His main pictorial themes were the still life and the urban and rural landscape, which he interpreted with a particular style influenced by the works of Van Gogh and the landscapes of the French training camps that he admired so long when he was at the front during the Civil War Spanish. In 1941, after the war he returned to his pictorial activities and founded together with Ramón Martí and Josep Clavéla the company "MCP", dedicated to film advertising, activity that he shared simultaneously with his artistic production and his teaching career.
