Isaac Henzell (1815-1876). A genre, landscape and portrait artist, he was born in Sheffield and descended from the Huguenot family De Henzell, who settled in Tyneside in 1619. First recorded as an artist in Newcastle in 1841. Shortly afterwards he emigrated to Australia with his nephews, the marine artists, Hemy, but returned in 1854.
