He eventually started at the Art Academy in Stockholm and later switched to the Artists' Association's painting school under Richard Bergh's leadership, but soon realized that this doctrine did not appeal to him and therefore returned to Valand. He eventually started at the Art Academy in Stockholm and later switched to the Artists' Association's painting school under Richard Bergh's leadership, but soon realized that this doctrine did not appeal to him and therefore returned to Valand. Back in Sweden after studying in Europe, he married Eva Adler in 1906 and then their daughter Eva was born, for most of them remembered as Lillan. She became a symbol of life and a great source of inspiration for her father. He worked intensively and had a productive period where Lillan often had to be... Read full biography
