There, Jean Evard took courses with Charles L'Eplattenier. Together with fellow students, including Le Corbusier, he furnished various villas and sacred buildings in the so-called "Style Sapin". There, Jean Evard took courses with Charles L'Eplattenier. Together with fellow students, including Le Corbusier, he furnished various villas and sacred buildings in the so-called "Style Sapin". In his painterly early work, Evard mainly focused on Impressionism and Symbolism. In 1913, after a creative crisis, he reoriented himself artistically and turned to Cubism and Constructivism.
