By 1903 he had settled in Portland, OR; however, he made painting excursions to northern California, Washington, Canada, and Mexico. Although he worked in oil early in his career, he abandoned that medium for watercolor. A landscape painter, his works are distinguished by fogs and opalescent hues of hazy mornings and late afternoons.... Read full biography
