Reyes graduated of the Academy of San Carlos and pertaining to the then Institute of Ethnographic Investigations of the UNAM. In 1940, he worked as a teacher with Francisco Zúñiga in the School of Sculpture and Direct Carving. He also collaborated with Guillermo Ruiz in various works for the state of Michoacán, commissioned by Lázaro Cárdenas, as the monument to Jose Maria Morelos on the island of Janitzio and the... Reyes graduated of the Academy of San Carlos and pertaining to the then Institute of Ethnographic Investigations of the UNAM. In 1940, he worked as a teacher with Francisco Zúñiga in the School of Sculpture and Direct Carving. He also collaborated with Guillermo Ruiz in various works for the state of Michoacán, commissioned by Lázaro Cárdenas, as the monument to Jose Maria Morelos on the island of Janitzio and the sculpture consecrated to Gertrudis Bocanegra in Patzcuaro.
