He joined the sociable group of artists around Hugo Kauffmann, who had been in Prien for summer holidays since 1855 and called himself “Bears and Lions”. Like Hugo Kauffmann, Noerr moved his food punk to Chiemsee and settled there in Prien in the early 1870s.
