Karl Purrmann-Haufler was a German artist born in 1877 in Speyer on the Rhine. He was an architectural and interior painter, illustrator, decorative artist, and fresco painter. Purrmann-Haufler first apprenticed as a decorative painter and later studied at the Stuttgart School of Arts and Crafts under Karl Schickhardt. Karl Purrmann-Haufler was a German artist born in 1877 in Speyer on the Rhine. He was an architectural and interior painter, illustrator, decorative artist, and fresco painter. Purrmann-Haufler first apprenticed as a decorative painter and later studied at the Stuttgart School of Arts and Crafts under Karl Schickhardt. He went on study trips throughout Germany and to Belgium, Holland, England, and Paris. From 1903 to 1918, he taught nude and figure drawing at the Königliche Fachschule für Edelmetallindustrie Schwäbisch Gmünd. Afterward, he worked as a freelance artist and collaborated with the architectural office Beutinger & Steiner. Purrmann-Haufler was active in Stuttgart and died in 1966.
