He was a member of the Ontario Society of Artists* and the Royal Canadian Academy of Arts* and a founder of the Ontario Institute of Painters*. His works are in the collections of numerous museums including the Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool, England, the Canadian War Museum and the National Gallery of Canada.
