Marcelino Unceta Y Lopez took part in the National Exhibitions of Fine Arts as a history painter, and in the 1864 exhibition the State acquired one of his works, "A Moroccan Carrying a Horse". He was also an illustrator, and his works include the lithographs he produced for the "Historia de la villa y corte de Madrid", by Amador y Rada, first published in 1860.
