It was during its wartime removal to Ambleside in the Lake District, that she was to meet her future husband and artistic partner, Lionel Bulmer. Together they went on to pursue an artistic life that was interwoven at every level and their mutual influence upon each other was seemingly inexhaustible. Green was a gifted teacher and in 1947 took up a post teaching at Walthamstow and later the Royal Academy Schools. However, teaching was always a means to an end - it gave Green the financial security to enable her, and Bulmer, who also spent most of his career teaching at Kingston School of Art,...
