Maria Debus-Digneffe was born in 1876. She studied at the painting and drawing school of Kaspar Kögler in Wiesbaden and studied at the art school of Wilhelm Schneider-Didams. Debus-Digneffe later spent time in Düsseldorf before staying in the Malerkolonie Amsterdam in 1905. From 1917-1919, she studied at the women's academy of the Münchner Künstlerinnenverein. Maria Debus-Digneffe was also active in Munich and from 1932 was in the artists' colony Dachau.Internet and Dressler
