From New York she returned to Texas as an art instructor at Midland College, Texas Christian University, and Phillips University in Oklahoma. After her marriage to painter Harvey B. Coleman in 1925, she settled in Los Angeles. Among those with whom she further studied are Edgar Payne and Jack W. Smith. Mrs. Coleman died in Los Angeles on Dec. 17, 1956.
