Mikhail Alisov was born in 1859 and died in 1933. From 1887 to 1889, Mikhail Alisov studied at the St. Petersburg Academy of Fine Arts under the guidance of Julius von Klever. He then moved to the Crimea, where he painted in the studio of Ivan K. Aivazovsky. Alisov painted views of the Crimea and the area of Kharkov. In 1914, he co-founded the artist group 'Yalta'.
