He help established the Institut Kesenian Jakarta (IKJ, Jakarta Arts Institute) where he became a lecturer. In 1979 – 1992 he was a member of Dewan Kesenian Jakarta (Jakarta Art Committee). He has participated in exhibitions of the Festival of Indonesia (USA, 1990 – 1992), the Gate Foundation (Amsterdam, Holland, 1993) and several places in Indonesia. He left his figurative paintings to fully paint in abstract style until his deceased in April 13, 1994.
