The Russian artist Nina Sergeevna Stenshinskaya was born in Tambov in 1901 and studied at the Stroganov School in Moscow. She became a successful still life painter and follower of Expressionism. She was married to the artist Grigorii Alexandrovich Sretensky (1899-1972) and belonged to different artist's groups in Moscow. She died in 1988.
