His earliest known comic book work was for DC comics in the 1940s on Green Lantern and Wildcat, and he drew many covers as well. He also worked for MLJ (later known as Archie Comics) on the Black Hood and the Hangman and the Wizard. In 1949-1950 he drew the syndicated Tarzan strip. He also worked for MLJ (later known as Archie Comics) on the Black Hood and the Hangman and the Wizard. In 1949-1950 he drew the syndicated Tarzan strip. In the 1950s he was prolific at Atlas (later Marvel) comics, working in many genres including crime, western, humor, romance, horror and war. Reinman had a good design sense and some of his best work was on horror and war stories, where he was able to evoke mood by using heavy black inks.
