They came quite a few times, sometimes with another couple. One year he painted a mural on one whole wall of the cottage’s living room. I remember it was bold and colorful. We would visit them there and go sailing. My dad would stay with them when he was on business in Noord Holland. I believe they lived in the Hilversum area. He had his studio in the house. My family had dinner at their home one time and she cooked an Indonesian dinner, I remember because the food was very spicy. My sister and I knew them well enough to call them “oom Ron and...
