Moreover, he received a note of praise from Mrs. Eleanor Roosevelt. In 1956, he participated in another painting competition in Jakarta with a painting called Bunga Mawar (the Rose Tattoo), and again he gained the first prize. His paintings are much admired and appreciated: many of them belong to President Soeharto's and Mrs. Tien Soeharto's collection. Several others have been sent abroad to East-Asia, Latin-America, USA, and to the Museum Kastell Genhoes Oud Valkenburg (Limburg, The Netherlands). Information... Read full biography
