Zhao Shigang (1874-1945) was a painter, calligrapher, educator, and scholar of the classics from Zhejiang province during the late Qing-early Republic period. He was especially accomplished as a seal carver and epigrapher, and his fame rivaled that of Wu Changshuo (1844-1927) in these areas. After the Republic of China was established, Zhao moved to Shanghai and lived as a recluse.
