He initially dedicated himself to frescoes, working in various churches in the Venetian and Padua areas, producing works characterized by fresh and brilliant painting. As regards easel painting, Stefano Novo will perfect himself in genre subjects, mainly set in the streets and calluses of Venice. His paintings feature a stringy brushstroke and great technical expertise, accompanied by a varied and luminous palette. As regards easel painting, Stefano Novo will perfect himself in genre subjects, mainly set in the streets and calluses of Venice. His paintings feature a stringy brushstroke and great technical expertise, accompanied by a varied and luminous palette. The painter made his debut at the Turin Exposition of 1884, then participated in several other exhibitions in Florence, Bologna, Milan, Palermo and of course Venice. Over the course of his career, he has also exhibited in Chicago, London and Glasgow.
