In 1841, at the age of 20, Schneider studied at the Dresden Academy of Art and attended Ludwig Richter's landscape studio from around 1843. He produced oil studies and paintings of nature from the Sebuzín region. He produced oil studies and paintings of nature from the Sebuzín region. One of his works "Friedhofskapelle" (Cemetery Chapel) from 1858 can be found in the Chemnitz Municipal Art Collections.
