According to David Kalbach, former student of the artist, "Howard Warshaw was an Assistant Professor at the University of California, Santa Barbara campus during the '60's and I believe, the late 50's. As a muralist, he completed large murals within the dining commons for the campus dorms. These murals were based on the life of Homer's Iliad & The Odyssey. Howard would refer to Goya's works...
