Known for his western scene paintings, especially with horses and cowboys, Newman Myrah has his studio in Oregon and was born in Saskatchewan, Canada. When he was five years old, Myrah moved to Deer Lodge, Montana with his parents and was raised in a small town, where he was the only kid that seemed to have art talent. When he was five years old, Myrah moved to Deer Lodge, Montana with his parents and was raised in a small town, where he was the only kid that seemed to have art talent. After high school, he went to commercial art school in Portland During World War II, he was in Japan and in 1949, became a free-lance artist in Portland.
