He earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from the Art Center College of Design* in Pasadena. His first studio was in Scottsdale, Arizona, and in 1997, he and his artist wife, Peggi Kroll Roberts, and their three children moved to Angel's Camp, California to a small ranch.
