Commander C. Anthony Law Litt.D., DSC, RCN (1916 – 1996). A career naval officer and prominent Canadian painter, Commander C. Anthony Law (aka: Charles Anthony Francis Law; aka: Tony Law) was born in London, England, while his Canadian parents were stationed there during World War I. He was the recipient of the Distinguished Service Cross for his actions in combat during the Normandy invasion and won two Jessie Dow Prizes* for his paintings shown at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts.
