Artist Bruce Robbins was born in 1948. At five, Bruce was confined to a hospital bed for 1.5 years from which he remembers the storybook of a Native American riding a horse bareback. This sense of freedom through movement drives his art. The imagery of horses, the mastery of movement and line has been his focus throughout. Subjects of Robert’s work have included cities, people, courtrooms, athletes and actors on stage. The theme he most often returns to is the force and sensitivity, the spirit and myth that the horse represents. Bruce’s art has been awarded recognition in New York and Toronto.
