He received his formal education from Staatliche Hochschule fur Bildende Kuenste, "Staedelschule", Frankfurt am Main, Germany (1978-1979), Cooper Union, New York (1977-1978) and Maryland Institute, College of Art, Baltimore (1974-1977).
