Professor George Hausdorf, painter, etcher, and teacher, was born May 18, 1888 in Trebnitz near Breslau, Germany. He studied in Breslau with Professor Morgenstern and as Masterstudent with Professor Kallmorgen at the Koenigliche Kunstakademie Charlottenburg, Berlin. An impressionistic painter of landscapes, still lifes, and portraits, George Hausdorf worked with oil, watercolor, pastel and other medias. He created numerous etchings, which he hand colored.
