The following information, submitted February 2005, is from Chester Baird, who wrote: "It is what I remember Mr. Shaw telling me about himself when I visited him in the late 1960's & 1970's. My mother had retired to Sarasota and my wife and I ran across some of his work that was being exhibited in Sarasota. We subsequently bought a number of his paintings, and every time we visited my mother dropped in on him and his wife, Margo, who had a home on Long Boat Key. Margo was a sculptress. Mr. Shaw... We subsequently bought a number of his paintings, and every time we visited my mother dropped in on him and his wife, Margo, who had a home on Long Boat Key. Margo was a sculptress. Mr. Shaw went to school at Ohio State and Michigan. What degrees he received at either I don't remember. I seem to remember he attended Ohio State and graduated from Michigan.
