" They are these man-made elements running right through nature, and they are totally foreign to what's around them. To me they have their own kind of beauty." . "Whether he paints a stretch of blacktop rising to meet the horizon, a deserted, weathered house or an imagined scene from the Civil War, Golden's work is informed by a powerful sense of history."
