Edith Branson was a significant exhibitor to the New York 1930s art scene joining such other promising new artists as Mark Rothko, Alice Neel,Theresa Bernstein, Blanche Lazzell and Agnes Weinrich. Most of Branson's work is reflective of her personal life as a young woman living in the 1930's.
