The Spirit of Man was created as a concept piece for a major 30 foot high monument to be placed in front of the Utah Symphony Orchestra Concert Hall in Salt Lake City. Fraughton considers this work to be one of his finest works he ever created.

A modernist nocturnal cityscape done in 1938. The work is pastel on paper and is handsomely framed under glass. Signed and dated 1938 lower right along with the inscription " With Happy Memories" The framed measurements are 34.5 x 29 " Sight size is 25.75 x 20.25"
The near naked maiden modelled kneeling before the deer,her right hand raised to its mouth.Figured in bronze and marble with A.Frilli and Firenze carved on the back.
