The dealer has been an art collector for over 20 years, and a dealer for circa 16 years, and is also a lawyer practicing law for circa 50 years first in New York City then in Los Angeles (3 law degrees, 2 from NYU Law School); the Gallery specializes in post war American art. A book is being written about the abstract expressionist art collection Sam Kootz sent to Los Angeles c. 1970-1980. A second book is being written about this subject by an abstract expressionist art expert with an art degree from Harvard.
