The gem tones of this well done work really catch the eye. Full original signature and inscription in the artist's hand on verso.

Early Spring scenery of the boulders at the base of Hussey's Hill with hay wagons in the distance. The brook running over the rocks among the trees makes for peaceful imagery. Framed in a period gilt frame in great condition with minor restoration.

Captures the mystical feeling of a Summer moonrise over the ocean. Really a wonderful composition on this fine, large painting.

To our eyes this is one of the finest McEntee paintings. A brilliant study of light play on the rocks, water, trees & sky. Note the figures standing on the stone bridge. Minor restoration, and framed in a Hudson River fluted cove frame with a tombstone liner.

A bright summer day at the Shoals by the multi-talented Warren Sheppard: Yacht designer, Racer (Won the Bermuda Race twice...) and fine artist.

Great work by Albers student & Bauhaus practitioner.

Bright & lovely Autumn scene. Well painted in warm Fall palette. Attributed to Jasper Cropsey.

Rare Impressionist seascape by the artist who is most well known for his Western Art.

This vibrant pastel is likely rendered in the New Hampshire Seacoast or in the North Shore of Massachusetts, and likely in the 1890-1905 period, by the foremost pastel artist of his time. Wolf Kahn owes much to Appleton Brown’s work a century prior.

This Winter landscape of Mount Kearsarge is by Boston School painter Marion Howard and evocative of her teachers Frank Benson & Edmund Tarbell. It is a small & pleasing gem of a painting. Framed in her original gilt frame, and in great original condition.

Arthur Quartley was among the artists at the Isles of Shoals Art Colony for many summers, painting with Childe Hassam, Appleton Brown and the De Haas Brothers. This work shows us the active fishing local in it's heyday.

Well rendered Impressionist painting of the White Mountains. Has the feel of his friends Childe Hassam & J. Alden Weir.

In the period and with some feeling of Winslow Homer, Appleton Brown was one of our first Impressionists.
