He attended the Brera Academy until 1914 and exhibited his works in various art exhibitions, including the Venice Biennale and the Milan exhibition with Oppi, Dudreville, Tosi, and Malerba. Salietti joined the Novecento movement in 1925 and became its secretary. He was also one of the founders of the Group of Seven Modern Painters in 1927.
