Alberto Biasi, who was born in Padua in 1937. He counts among the pioneers of kinetic light art. In 1960 he founded, together with several other artists, Gruppo N, which was looking for ways to incorporate visual effects of light and movement in their works of art. Thus works were created which move through a combination of traditional and new materials on the threshold of two- to three-dimensionality. Still after disbandment of the group in 1967 Alberto Biasi, who still lives and works in Padua, continued to pursue this objective and created works of vibrant color and geometric precision.
