Bogomazov's Cubo-futurist artworks were first presented to the public in the artist’s native Kiev at the Kol'tso [Ring] exhibition organized in early 1914 by himself and Alexandra Exter (1882-1949). By displaying his work alongside that of Exter, Alexander Archipenko (1887-1964) and David Burliuk (1882-1967), Bogomazov confirmed his position as an important figure in Kievan art circles.
