Then he divided his time between Athens and Europe. Held solo exhibitions in Greece and abroad (Berlin, Hamburg, Munich, Turin, Geneva) also participated in important group exhibitions in Europe. The Akrithakis worked on book illustration, scenography and design. He died on September 19th, 1994 from a heart attack. He had to oppose the representation in painting a series of fireworks and flares, something between the illustrations of medieval manuscripts and their visions of a poet who knew how to transform death and admiration of life experiences...
