He was also an illustrator, collaborating with Manuel de Macedo and later with Alberto de Sousa on original watercolors for various works, including the complete works by Almeida Garrett, a monumental edition of "Os Lusíadas," and "As Pupilas do Senhor Reitor" by Júlio Dinis. Roque Gameiro is represented in the Museums of Contemporary Art in Lisbon and Madrid and in several private collections.
