André Claudot was a French artist born in Dijon in 1882. He began his artistic career at the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Dijon, but left due to its academic nature and moved to Paris. He became involved in far-left political activism and drew for newspapers such as Le Libertaire and La revue anarchiste.
