In his own words, his paintings reflect, “an on-going attempt to distinguish the essential from the decorative and to discern the rhythms, patterns and geometry in nature.” He derives his greatest delight from the physicality of the creative process – the act of “scraping, rubbing, blotting and tearing to get a particular effect.” While best known for his landscapes, his mixed-media works are also attracting attention.
