Lüdecke-Cleve was a member of the artist group Laetitia in Dusseldorf, Munich Artists' Association and the Munich Artists' Society Allotria. He first showed his works in Dusseldorf and from 1908 onwards he regularly exhibited in the Glaspalast in Munich. In 1943 his studio in Munich was destroyed. He then settled in the Allgäu.
