Bruno Gironcoli was born in 1936 in Villach. Bruno Gironcoli was a great loner. His enormous objects, in which everyday objects, baby figures and natural quotes such as corn seeds or white were symbolic arrangements, are unmistakable and difficult to miss because of their effect and because of their size. His enormous objects, in which everyday objects, baby figures and natural quotes such as corn seeds or white were symbolic arrangements, are unmistakable and difficult to miss because of their effect and because of their size. Until 2004, Gironcoli headed the master school of sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna, where he had been the successor to Fritz Wotruba since 1977. Bruno Gironcoli passed away in Wien, Austria in 2010.
